Gary bags title with QPR

18 09 2008

Gary secured the league title with his QPR side, earning him a whopping 2,520 points on his main account, and some crew points into the bargain.

He now returns to his beloved Sunderland to see if he can repeat the feat with a club with a Board target of 13th.

A quick catch-up

31 08 2008

After a period of inactivity on this website due to ‘external pressures’ (allegedly, according to blob), here’s a list of all those managers who completed seasons in the three week period of no updates :

  • blob59 S1 Udinese – League and Cup double, target 7th – 185 manager points
  • Carrottop S1 Almeria – finished 3rd, target 16th – 180 manager points
  • Chris H S3 Defensa y Justicia – finished 2nd, target 13th – 160 manager points
  • Damien S1 Swindon Town – finished Champions, target 13th – 264 manager points
  • Damien S2 Tiro Federal – finished Champions, target 16th – 250 manager points
  • Damien S3 Sevilla Atletico – finished 2nd, target 16th – 209 manager points
  • Ed main Gwangju Sangmu Phoenix – finished Champions, target 12th – 147 manager points
  • Gary S3 Barcelona – finished Champions, target 1st – 100 manager points
  • He-Ro main Cheltenham Town – finished 2nd, target 16th – 228 manager points
  • Jacob S1 Chelsea – League and Cup double – target 1st – 125 manager points

The two emboldened achievements also gained the crew some ranking points. Congratulations to all managers for their achievements.

On a crew personnel note, Parco Petyt has returned as crew moderator replacing Chris H, who is disappearing to pastures new (although will still be playing OFM). Meanwhile a non-renewal of season ticket spelt the end of Frankel’s reign in the crew (and subsequent hefty subtraction of his manager points…)

To Hull and back with Gary

30 07 2008

Gary’s Hull City side had a great season finishing in 2nd place, 11 places above target, but only earning him 79 manager points on his S2 account as he took over the job midway through the season.

Gary is currently available for bar mitzvahs, weddings and funerals, as he has chosen not to take a new managerial post.

Gary cock-a-hoop

30 07 2008

Gary‘s season with QPR finished with a second place finish and 192 manager points, contributing to the crew ranking points.

He stays in charge at QPR for a third consecutive season.

Gary is cock-a-Hoop with QPR

11 06 2008

Gary has climbed to a very impressive 85th in the list of all time managers in OFM, after finishing 3rd with QPR, earning him 180 manager points on his main account.

Unfortunately his achievement was overshadowed by the exit of markw from the crew again for failing to renew his season ticket, so regrettably the crew did not gain any numerical advantage, ranking points wise, although we are better off than we could have been.

Given Gary’s success at Loftus Road, it’s no great surprise to see him take them on again – he does like to do things in threes after all 😉

Gary achieves 3rd with Boro

2 06 2008

Gary‘s Middlesbrough side managed a 3rd place finish in the England Premier League, earning him 120 manager points on his S3 account. He has yet to take over another side.

No Gray days for Gary

27 04 2008

Gary‘s season in the Blue Square Premier finished with his Grays Athletic side finishing in an excellent 6th place spot, earning him 82 manager points on his S2 account as the club’s Board target was 13th place.

He has yet to pick a new league/team.
